Winter

The earth breathes deeply under its frozen covering
waiting,
staving off panic for the blindness
the penetrating cold
Solid ground and treacherous waters appear the same-
all disguised by indistinguishable white.
Having walked this way before, I am not deceived
by the altered lay of the land.
Unsettled though, and chilled
Chilled in more than flesh.
Chilled,
and fighting
the barren, lonely, silent freeze
waiting
as the earth longs for the first hint of Spring.

"On April 27th, 2011, Kate added two more tears to her book titled, "Kate's Sorrows" when she read Laelia's beautiful illustration she so desperately needed. I will continue to show Kate that I am here. That she is not alone. I will use whatever means necessary to do this."

~~ thank you sweet friend.

I am so glad you liked my "Tear Collector" posting! It has been brewing in my mind and heart all Lent, so I am blessed to know that God used it to bless you! :)
